Here is a list of what you need to know about yoga poses:
  • The best time to practice would be in the morning before breakfast while the mind is calm and fresh.
  • Before you get started bring a big heart and a small ego.
  • Be sure to find a nice calm and quiet place that is free of dust, moisture, insects, and bad smells.  There should be NO distractions.
  • Empty out your bladder and bowels, clean out your nostrils completely and throat, and be sure to drink luke warm water and then start exercising 15 minutes later.
  • Always start doing the easy postures and then work your way up.
  • Make sure to have a balanced diet with intervals of a meal every four hours.
  • The food consumption should be only that satifies one's appetite.
  • Avoid overeating, fasting, fast foods, and unhealthy foods.
  • Wear comfortable form fitting clothing.
  • Your breathing should be long and deep.  Your mouth should be closed and you should be inhaling through your nose.
