There comes a time when we hit a bump on the road and it seems like an endless plateau when all we are trying to do is either burn fat or build muscle, that is because now our bodies have adjusted to the same workouts over and over again and we just need a jump start to kick back up on our muscle building or fat burning engine again.

Here are several tips to help restart your engine:

  • Be sure to set reasonable goals and expectations.
  • As you progress, set up a scale and measure your body.
  • Pay close attention to your diet and nutrition.
  • Work your muscles out until failure. Be sure your muscles are sore the next day or two.
  • Have a daily schedule and eat and drink what's according to your workouts and exercises.
  • Always make time to rest and recovery.
  • Remember....to do cardio at least twice a week to keep your heart strong.
  • Never over train, it may cause injury.
  • Change your workouts about every 4-6 weeks.



Weight Lifting Safety


While lifting weights, you keep adding on weights as you progress through your training. However, if your not experience enough or are not paying attention, then be careful because serious injury or death may occur.

What's Good To Do: (Do's)

  • Warm-Up before each exercise and cool down after your workout.
  • Always keep your back straight when working out.
  • Be sure to wear good comfortable shoes with good traction.
  • Be sure to use good techniques and workout properly.

What's Not Good To Do: (Dont's)

  • Do not lift more weights than what your body can't handle.
  • If you start to feel pain, do not continue working out.
  • Never hold your breathe when exercising.
  • If you are light headed and not feeling well, don't continue working out. JUST STOP!
