Rolling Start

Step by Step Guide

Rolling start is specifically designed to increase your acceleration ability off the mark and not speed.

Here is a step by step process of doing this exercise properly:
  1. Set up 2 cones out 10-20 meters apart from one cone to another.
  2. Start from the beginning mark point.
  3. Your going to jog from the starting line to the first (1st) cone and sprint from the first cone to the second (2nd) cone.
  4. Then slowly jog back to the starting line and repeat the process over again.

Side Stepping

If the first training method starts to become a little bit easy to do, try a more advanced workout that is similart to the one above except you will be side stepping and not jogging and sprinting.

Here is a step by step process of doing this exercise properly:
  1. Set up 2 cones out 10-20 meters apart from one cone to another.
  2. Start from the beginning mark point.
  3. Your going to side step in a jogging manor to the first (1st) cone and then side step in a sprinting manor to the second (2nd) cone.
  4. Then slowly jog back to the starting line and repear the process over again.
