About The Hamstring Muscles

The biceps femoris, semitendinosus, and the semimembranosus are the three muscle groups that are together known as the hamstrings. These muscles are located on the back of both upper legs. It helps you bend your knees and extend the hip. The hamstring muscles cross both the hip and the knee joints. The hamstrings are by far the most commonly injured muscles of the leg.
