Dumbbell Lateral Raise Exercise

Doing the dumbbell lateral raise exercise is a great way of executing a good muscle building program for your shoulders.  This is an exercise that you would like to start off by using small weights and gradually work your way up with experience.

However, if you want your upper body to look proportion with one another, then building strong shoulders is an essential part of succeeding.  You have to look proportion to look good. 

Here you will find a step by step description on how to properly do this exercise.



LATERAL RAISES

This shoulderexercise focuses on the medial deltoid (middle part of the shoulder).
  1. Stand and place the dumbbells in front of your body, palms facing towards each other.
  2. Keep your elbows and knees bent and not straight, squeeze your abs tight and your shoulders relaxed.
  3. Raise your arms up and out to your sides in a wide arc to about shoulder level.
  4. Slowly return to the original position and repeat the process.
