Changing of Direction

Change Of DirectionsHaving the abililty changing of direction while sprinting is an important asset to have when playing any sports. 

The ability to do it, shows how successful any individuals can be out on the field, no matter what sport he or she plays. 

It takes skills and plenty of practice to master the ability to change of direction, but once it has been mastered, then considered yourself a good athlete.

People used to assume that it takes lots of strength and power development to enhance this skill, but it has been acknowledge that agility training can develop you (COD) skill.

Recent studies have shown that by utilizing the traditional strength and power to develop your (COD) skills jave failed.



Here are several exercises that can make this skill a success:

  • Horizontal Jump Training
  • Lateral Jump Training (Unilateral and Bilateral)
  • Loaded Jump Training
  • Vertical Jump Training
And so many more, but you would have to check out our agility training programs to have access to more exercises.

Being able to shift to 5th gear and change direction can have a positive influence in your performance.  Who wants a player that is not only slow, but lack the ability of (COD).  Nobody right?  Now get up and lets start training to become a better athlete.
